Effects of Fertilization on Morphological and Physiological Characteristics and Environmental Cost of Maize (Zea mays L.)

Maize (Zea mays L.) is one of the most important crops in world and fertilization management practice which contributes to high yield. The objective this study was determine effect different fertilizers on maize crop their contribution carbon footprint. experiments were conducted a commercial field area Thessaloniki during growing seasons 2019 2020. During experiment number physiological morphological characteristics, energy output/input ratio, efficiency, footprint determined. results showed that inorganic manure improved characteristics studied compared green treatment control. In addition, it appeared input cultivation from (52%), followed by diesel (25%) use machinery (14%). treatments with slow release gave satisfactory an average 42.1 Mg ha−1 43.6 2020 for both treatments. Therefore, necessary appropriate order maintain productivity reduce environmental costs.
